Learn to smoke meat like a master and start hosting delicious cookouts your family and friends will never forget. At this camp, participants will go through a robust culinary workshop where they will practice how to slice and dice food (ie, knife skills), how to prepare and season meats properly, and how to be a good host (hospitality best practices). We will be preparing all of the meats, sides, and desserts during camp which make for a fabulous cookout.
Please note, we will end the week with a cookout at Sparhawk for all the campers’ families!
(Faculty member Tom Keefe will be joined by his lovely wife, Maggie Keefe, who is an expert instructor in culinary arts. Maggie holds a certificate in culinary arts from Cambridge Culinary School and has been teaching cooking classes for over a decade.)

What’s the schedule of an average day of Grillmaster Culinary Workshop?
Camp runs each day from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Drop-off starts at 9:45 AM. Parents should pick their campers by 3:15 PM.
Where does the camp take place?
All camp activities will take place at Sparhawk Academy.
What should my son wear to camp?
Campers should dress in comfortable, warm-weather athletic attire.
What else does my child need to bring with them to camp?
Campers should bring plenty of water, sunscreen, and bug spray.

Tom Keefe is the Director of the Upper School and teaches History, Literature, and Music at Sparhawk Academy, where he also coaches basketball.
